Ingredients

  • 1 kg - chicken
  • 2 cups - onion
  • 2 cups - tomato
  • 4 tsp - jeera
  • 2 tbsp - ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 tsp - garam masala powder
  • 6 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 4 tsp - dhania powder
  • oil as required
  • salt

How to Make Basic Chicken Gravy

  • Heat oil in a pan. Add garam masala, ginger-garlic paste and the onions. Fry until the onions are golden brown.
  • Add the chicken, jeera, red chilli powder, dhania powder or any brand of chicken masala. Fry until light brown.
  • Add water for the chicken to boil and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add the chopped tomatoes. Stir well and add salt.
  • Allow the meat to be cooked. Serve with dosa, pulao, rice, paratha or chappathi.
