Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • 1/2 tsp - mustard seeds
  • 2 - tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 2 - potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 3/4 tsp - salt
  • 250 ml - water

How to Make Batata Vaag

  • In a pan, heat oil on medium heat. Add mustard seeds to it. When they crackle, add chopped tomatoes and mix it well until it thickens.
  • Add red chilli powder and turmeric powder to it.
  • Stir on low heat for a minute.
  • Add mashed potatoes, salt and 250 ml of water to it.
  • Mix all the ingredients well. Cover it with a tight lid and cook on medium to low heat for 10 - 12 minutes until it is done. Serve it with rotis.
