  • 1 kg - Beef, cut in cubes.
  • Salt
  • 5 - Medium green chillies, slit
  • 1 inch piece - Ginger, chopped
  • 3 tbsp - Cooking oil
  • 2 - Medium onions, chopped
  • Coconut, desiccated
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - Red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp - Coriander/ dhania powder
  • 1 - Large tomato, chopped
  • 2 twigs/ sprigs - Curry leaves
  • 1 tsp - Pepper powder
  • 1 tsp - Garam masala powder

How to Make Beef Cubes Fried

  • Pressure cook beef with salt, little turmeric powder, chopped ginger and chopped green chilli, until only a cup of water remains in the beef.
  • Heat the oil in a non-stick pan, fry the desiccated coconut flakes and chopped onions, until it turns light brown.
  • Add coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and saute on a low flame.
  • Add curry leaves followed by chopped tomato and saute well until oil seperates.
  • Add garam masala, pepper powder and the cooked beef with water.
  • Stir occasionally, until the gravy dries up.
  • Keep on low flame until the beef browns.
