  • 2 cups - maida
  • 1 tbsp - besan
  • 1 - plantain
  • 1 tsp - baking soda
  • 2 tbsp - sugar
  • 1 cup - curd
  • 1 tsp - salt
  • Oil for frying

How to Make Beginners Banana Puris

  • Seive maida and besan.
  • Mash plantain with curd, salt, sugar and baking soda in a bowl.
  • Add the flour and little water to make into a soft dough.
  • Apply a little oil and keep the dough covered for 6 hours.
  • Shape portions of the dough into lime sized balls and flatten them into thick puris.
  • Deep fry in hot oil till golden brown.
  • Buns can be eaten plain or with any gravy.
