  • 2 cups - Gram flour
  • 21 cup - Soya flour
  • 1 - large onion, chopped fine
  • 1 tsp - Ginger garlic paste
  • 2 - Tomatoes, chopped small
  • 2 - Green chillies, chopped fine
  • 1 tsp - Cumin seed powder, roasted
  • 2 tsp - Salt
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder, dry mango powder each
  • 1 tsp - roasted Peanut powder ( optional )
  • 1 tsp - Garam Masala
  • 2 cups - Water
  • Butter to cook

How to Make Besan Cheela with Soy

  • Mix all the flour and spices in a bowl.
  • Add chopped vegetables and fold them well.
  • Gradually start adding water.
  • The batter should be of dosa like consistency, not too thick but a little runny.
  • Heat butter in a pan.
  • Butter brings out that taste and aroma when cooks gram flour.
  • Pour the batter and cook on a low-medium flame for 2-3 minutes.
  • When the side gets a bit dry and bubbly, flip and cook the other side.
  • You may cover it in between to avoid it from getting burnt.
  • This will also result in softer pancakes.
  • Take out in a plate. Have it with chutneys of your choice.
