  • Rice-1 cup
  • Tur Dal-1/2 cup
  • Channa Dal-1/2 cup
  • Urad Dal-1/3 cup
  • Red Chillies-2
  • Ginger-1 inch
  • Asafoetida-1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder-1/2 tsp
  • Black night Shade Leaves-1/2 cup
  • Curry Leaves-1 sprig
  • Salt-to taste
  • Oil- as needed for roasting

How to Make Black night shade leaves Adai

  • Soak rice and the other dals separately for 45 minutes.
  • Grind to a coarse paste with ginger, red chillies, salt, turmeric powder and asafoetida.
  • Add chopped black night shade leaves and curry leaves and mix well for the batter.
  • In a tawa, drizzle oil and pour in the batter. It should be slightly thicker than the regular dosa.
  • Flip and cook on the other side.
  • Serve hot with your favorite chutney or spice powder.
