  • Black Urad Dal-1 cup
  • Pepper-1 tsp
  • Ginger- 1 inch bit
  • Salt to taste
  • Asafoetida-1/2 tsp
  • Curry Leaves-1 sprig
  • Oil to deep fry

How to Make Black Urad Dal Pepper Vada

  • Soak black urad dal for 4 hours. After the said time, strain and place it in a blender.
  • Add black pepper and ginger. Add salt and blend it to a nice paste. Then, add asafoetida and curry leaves and mix well. The vada mixture is ready.
  • Now, Heat oil in a kadai and by using a plastic sheet or zip lock cover, make vadas with the mixture. Drop them carefully in hot oil. These crispy vadas can be served with any spicy chutney.
