Ingredients

  • 1 - medium-sized chicken, chopped into medium size pieces
  • 3 - onions, sliced finely
  • 2 tsp - chopped garlic
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp - chilli powder
  • 3 tbsp - vinegar
  • 3 - tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • 1 tsp - pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - chopped ginger
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • salt to taste

How to Make Bobo (Fowl) Curry

  • Heat oil in large pan and lightly fry the chicken until brown. Keep aside.
  • In the same oil, saute the onions, chopped garlic and chopped ginger until brown.
  • Add the chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder and tomatoes. Mix well.
  • Stir-fry for a few minutes until the tomatoes are soft.
  • Add the chicken and vinegar and mix well.
  • Add sufficient water and simmer on low heat until the chicken is tender and the gravy is slightly thick.
  • Serve with rice or chapatti.
