Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - beef bones (with some meat on it)
  • 1 - sliced onion
  • 2-3 - green chillies
  • A few mint leaves | 2 - big tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste | 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • Water - as needed
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsps - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - jeera powder
  • 1 tsp - pepper powder
  • 1/2 cup - coconut milk
  • To season:
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 sprigs - curry leaves
  • A dash - lime juice
  • Some chopped coriander leaves
  • Oil

How to Make Bone Pepper Water

  • In a pressure cooker, add washed and cleaned bones.
  • Cook the bones with enough water along with the onion, green chillies, mint leaves, tomatoes, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, and salt.
  • After the first whistle, lower the flame and let it cook for 1/2 an hour to 45 mins.
  • Turn off the gas and let the cooker cool down.
  • Open it and add chilli powder, jeera powder and pepper powder, and allow to cook to a soup consistency.
  • Add coconut milk and stir well.
  • In another pan, heat some oil, add onions & curry leaves. Saute for some time.
  • Add to the soup. Serve with a dash of lime juice and chopped coriander leaves.
