  • Chicken - 1/2 kg, cut into small pieces
  • Onion - 1, big
  • Tomato - 1.5, cut into small pieces
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1.5 tbsp
  • Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric - 1/4 tbsp
  • Garam masala - 1 tbsp
  • Tandoori masala - 1/2 tbsp
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice - 2 tbsp
  • Cashew paste - 50 g (make the paste with some water)
  • Butter - a small piece
  • Cilantro leaves for garnishing

How to Make Butter Tomato Chicken

  • Marinate the chicken for half and hour with tandoori powder, garam masala, cumin and lemon juice.
  • Pour a little oil in a kadhai and fry the marinated chicken. Keep aside.
  • Heat some more oil in the kadhai and fry the chopped onion brown.
  • Then add ginger-garlic paste and fry well.
  • Add chilli powder, turmeric and fry well.
  • Pour some water, add in the tomatoes and fry well until the oil separates.
  • Add the cashew paste and fry well.
  • Add a small piece of butter and the chicken pieces.
  • Cook until done. Garnish with cilantro leaves.
