  • 2 cups - sifted flour
  • 1 tsp - salt
  • 1.25 tsp - soda bicarb
  • 3/4 tsp - baking powder
  • 2 - eggs
  • 2 cups - fresh buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup - melted butter

How to Make Buttermilk Pancakes

  • Sift dry ingredients together. Add remaining ingredients and stir to just moisten dry ingredients.
  • Mixture will be thick and lumpy.
  • Drop by the spoonful on to a lightly greased griddle, spreading batter with a spoon.
  • Flip pancakes as soon as browned on one side and cook the other side until browned.
