Ingredients

  • 1/2 - firm green cabbage
  • 1- red onion
  • 2 -3- green chillies finely chopped
  • 2- curry leaves
  • 1- small bowl of freshly grated coconut
  • 1tbsp - oil
  • 1 tsp - mustard seeds
  • 1 pinch- asafoetida

How to Make Cabbage and Onion Salad

  • Finely chop both the cabbage and the onion and mix in a bowl.
  • In a small pan heat a tbsp of oil. Add mustard seeds when oil is hot.
  • When this splutters, add curry leaves and finely chopped chillies followed by the asafoetida.
  • Garnish the onions and cabbage with this.
  • Add the grated coconut and serve.
