Ingredients

  • 1/4 kg - cabbage
  • 1/2 cup - Bengal gram dal
  • 1 (small) - onion
  • 1 (Large) - tomato
  • small quantity - ginger
  • 2 . - garlic
  • 1 - green chilli
  • 1 tbsp - red chilli powder
  • 2 tbsp - coriander powder
  • 1 tsp - turmeric powder
  • a pinch - asafoetida
  • 2 tbsp - grated/shredded coconut

How to Make Cabbage curry - Muttakos kuttu

  • Cut cabbage, wash Bengal gram dal and put both together in a pressure cooker along with all the ingredients like chopped onion, tomatoes, green chilly, ginger, garlic, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt and asafoetida.
  • Mix all the contents well and pour required water.
  • Boil it for some 20 minutes.
  • Now add grated coconut and mix them well.
