Ingredients

  • 1 - cabbage
  • 1/2 cup - grated coconut
  • 3 - chillies
  • 1 tsp - cumin
  • 1 cup - toor dal
  • 1 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp - vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp - mustard
  • 1 tsp - urad dal
  • A few - curry leaves
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Cabbage Milahutal

  • Finely cut the cabbage
  • Grind the grated coconut, chillies, cumin
  • Cook the cabbage, adding a little water, salt and turmeric powder.
  • When the cabbage is partly cooked, add the ground coconut mixture to it and cook it further.
  • Meanwhile, pressure cook the toor dal.
  • When the dal is ready, add it to the cabbage gravy.
  • Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard
  • Add urad dal and curry leaves into it and add it to the gravy.
  • Serve with rice
