Ingredients

  • 1 cup - basmati rice
  • 1 cup - cabbage, chopped
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup - peas
  • Grinding Masala:
  • 1/4 cup - coconut grated
  • 2 - cardamoms
  • 4 - cloves
  • 6 - green chillies
  • 1/2 inch - ginger

How to Make Cabbage Onion Rice

  • Soak the rice for 10 mins.
  • Take a pan, pour oil and fry onion, cabbage and peas.
  • Grind grated coconuts, cardamoms,cloves, green chillies and ginger. Add the ground masala and cook for 5 mins.
  • Add rice and fry for a few mins
  • Transfer the contents to a rice cooker
  • Add 2 cups of water, salt and cook.
  • After 15 mins remove from flame. Serve.
