Ingredients

  • 1 - medium cabbage
  • 100 g - peanuts
  • 4-5 - green chillies
  • A sprig of coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp - lemon juice
  • 1 tsp - oil
  • Urad dal
  • Mustard seeds
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Cabbage Salad

  • Grate cabbage or cut into very thin slivers.
  • Keep aside.
  • Roast peanuts for a few minutes; remove husk and grind coarsely.
  • Chop chillies and coriander leaves finely.
  • Add ground peanuts, chillies and coriander leaves to the cabbage. |Add a tsp of lemon juice.
  • Splutter mustard seeds and fry urad dal in the oil and pour it over the salad.
  • Add salt to taste.
  • Mix well. Let this stay for about an hour before serving.
  • Enjoy this salad with rotis or as a side dish with rice.
