Ingredients

  • 8 - bread slices
  • 1/2 cup - carrot, peeled and grated
  • 1/2 cup - beetroot, peeled and grated
  • For green peas spread:
  • 1 cup - cooked green peas
  • 2 tsp - chopped garlic
  • 2 tbsp - chopped spring onions
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin powder
  • 1 tsp - minced green chillies
  • 1 tbsp - chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp - chopped mint leaves
  • 2 to 3 tbsp - low fat yogurt or cheese
  • pepper to taste
  • salt to taste

How to Make Carrot and Beetroot Sandwich with Green Peas Spread

  • Mash the peas and mix with rest of the ingredients.
  • Spread the bread slices along with the peas mixture.
  • Sandwich two slices with grated carrot and beet root.
  • Make four sandwiches and cut each into two parts.
