Ingredients

  • 1 - cauliflower, diced
  • 2 - onions
  • Coriander leaves
  • Curry leaves
  • To grind:
  • 2 tbsp - grated coconut
  • 2 tbsp - roasted gram
  • 5 - red chillies
  • 1 tbsp - coriander seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin seeds
  • A pinch - Turmeric powder
  • A pinch - asafoetida
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Cauliflower Masala Curry

  • Cook cauliflower in salted water; drain.
  • Grind roasted gram, red chillies, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, asafoetida and salt together into a fine powder.
  • Add the grated coconut to it and run it once in the mixer, keep this aside.
  • Now heat oil in a pan and splutter the mustard and curry leaves.
  • Add chopped onions and fry till it turns golden brown.
  • Add the cauliflower and ground masala and saute on low flame for 5 minutes.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with curd rice.
