  • 2 cups - cauliflower florets (soak in salted warm water for 10 mins, rinse and drain)
  • Spinach stalks - one inch length
  • 3/4 cup - onions
  • Green chilli - 1
  • 1 spring - curry leaves
  • Pinch each - cumin and mustard
  • 1/2 tsp - red chilli powder
  • A pinch - turmeric
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil as needed
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • 1 tsp - garam masala powder

How to Make Cauliflower with spinach stalks

  • Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard, cumin and add green chillies and curry leaves.
  • Add onions, sprinkle salt and fry till they turn golden brown.
  • Add ginger garlic paste, fry for a min
  • Add cauliflower, turmeric and salt and fry till the raw smell disappears for 2 to 3 mins
  • Add spinach stalks, fry for another 2 to 3 mins or till the raw smell of the stalk disappear
  • Add chilli powder, garam masala mix well and fry.
  • Cover and cook on a low flame till the stalks and cauliflower is cooked. Keep stirring to prevent burning.
  • Serve.
