Ingredients

  • 1 kg - skinned chicken, cut into medium-sized pieces
  • 10 - dry red chillies
  • 1 tsp - pepper
  • 1 tsp - coriander
  • 1 tsp - cumin
  • 2 cloves - garlic
  • 2 pieces - ginger
  • 4 - tomatoes
  • 4 - big onions
  • salt to taste
  • 5 tsp - oil
  • A pinch - turmeric powder

How to Make Ceylon Chicken Fry

  • Grind the chillies, pepper, coriander, cumin, tomatoes, garlic and ginger.
  • Mix the ground ingredients with the chicken.
  • Add salt and a little turmeric powder. Boil well.
  • In another pan, pour oil and fry the onions until brown.
  • Add the boiled chicken to the onions and stir for 5 minutes until it absorbs the water.
  • Serve hot with rice or chapathi.
