Ingredients

  • chamba raw rice flour - 1 cup
  • green chillies - 1 tsp, minced
  • cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • grated coconut - ½ cup
  • oil to roast
  • salt to taste

How to Make Chamba Rice Akki Rotti

  • Mix rice with all the ingredients except the oil.
  • Add enough water and prepare a soft dough.
  • (It should be softer than chapati dough and slightly sticky).
  • Divide the dough into 6 portions.
  • Take a plastic sheet or banana leaf and keep a portion of dough on it.
  • With moist fingers, press the dough into ¼ cm thick disc.
  • Heat a griddle and transfer the disc on it.
  • Roast using a little oil on both sides.
  • Serve with chutney or curry.
