Ingredients

  • 1 cup - channa dal
  • 1 cup - jaggery, chopped
  • 1 cup - coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup - milk
  • 1/2 tsp - nutmeg powder
  • 1/2 tsp - cardamom powder
  • 10 to 12 - cashews
  • 2 cups - water
  • 1 tsp - ghee

How to Make Channa dal kheer

  • Fry cashews in ghee and keep aside.
  • Wash the channa dal and add 2 cups water and cook it well in the pressure cooker.
  • Add jaggery and cook it until it gets dissolved.
  • Add milk and boil it for 1-2 mins
  • Remove the container and add coconut milk, cashews, nutmeg and cardamom powder and stir.
  • Serve hot or chilled.
