  • 1 litre - milk
  • 250 g - paneer
  • 4 tbsp - sugar
  • 1.5 tsp - essence of rose
  • 1 tsp - cardamom powder
  • 25 g - fried and sliced almonds
  • 25 g - fried and sliced pistachio nuts
  • 25 g - fried and sliced raisins
  • Silver foil

How to Make Channa Payesh

  • Grind paneer to a paste.
  • Mix milk with 125 g sugar and boil over a slow fire till it is reduced to half its original quantity.
  • Mix in the paneer, cardamoms and nuts and cook till quite thick. Remove from heat and sprinkle rose essence on top.
  • Serve decorated with foil.
