Ingredients

  • 10 slices - bread
  • 4 - small onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp - mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp - urad dal
  • 1 tsp - channa dal
  • 1 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 2 - green chillies, finely chopped
  • salt to taste
  • coriander leaves for garnishing

How to Make Channa-Urad Dal Bread Upma

  • Soak the bread slices in water for a minute.
  • Heat oil in a pan and roast the mustard seeds, urad dal and channa dal.
  • Add the onions and fry until pink.
  • Add turmeric powder and green chillies and saute well.
  • Mash the soaked bread into small pieces and add to the pan. Fry along with the other ingredients.
  • Add salt to taste and stir for 5-6 minutes.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
