  • 1.5 cups - spinach, blanched and chopped finely
  • 1.5 cups - corn, boiled
  • 2 cups - cheese, grated (or as required)
  • 3 tbsp - butter
  • 3 tbsp - flour
  • 3 cups - milk
  • 1 tsp - cracked black pepper
  • salt to taste

How to Make Cheesy spinach-corn bake

  • Melt the butter. Then add the maida and stir constantly.
  • Cook till the raw smell of maida goes away.
  • Be careful not to brown the maida.
  • When the maida is done, add in the milk and whisk so you do away with any lumps.
  • Add the pepper powder. Stir the white sauce until it becomes thick.
  • Add in the spinach, boiled corn, and cheese, and mix it. Season it using salt and simmer for 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Shift it to an ovenproof dish. Top it with some more grated cheese.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees until the cheese melts and is slightly brown in colour.
