  • 4 joints chicken
  • 1 medium sized onion (chopped)
  • 1/2 ltr - milk
  • 1 tbsp - corn flour
  • 8 tbsp - grated cheese
  • butter for frying
  • a pinch of mustard powder
  • 1 tsp - sugar
  • 1/2 cup - cream
  • 2 tbsp - vinegar
  • 3 tbsp - ghee
  • salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Chicken Cheese

  • Rub the chicken joints with salt and pepper, and then fry in butter till golden brown. Remove and put the chicken into a baking dish.
  • Heat the ghee and saute the onion.
  • Add the milk and simmer gently. Strain.
  • Blend the corn flour with a little cold water and a little of the milk sauce and mix well.
  • Add this corn flour mixture to the remaining milk sauce. Bring to the boil.
  • Add vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper, mustard powder and cream.
  • Pour this sauce over the chicken. Sprinkle with grated cheese.
  • Bake in a moderate oven (177 degrees C) until chicken is tender.
