Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - breast of chicken
  • 3 cm - ginger
  • 1 - spring onion
  • 1/4 tsp - pepper
  • For the sauce:
  • 2 tbsp - sherry
  • 1 tsp - sugar
  • 9 - drops vinegar
  • 2 tbsp - sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp - soy sauce
  • A pinch of salt

How to Make Chicken in sesame

  • Put the chicken in a saucepan, cover with boiling water and cook for about 8 minutes.
  • To make the sauce, combine sherry, sesame oil, sugar, salt, vinegar and soy sauce. Keep aside.
  • Chop the ginger and spring onion finely.
  • Slice the cooked chicken breast, including bones, crosswise with a cleaver into 1 centimetre strips.
  • Place on a serving plate, sprinkle with chopped onion and ginger and pour over the sauce.
  • Sprinkle with pepper and serve.
