Ingredients

  • 1 chicken (about 2 kgs)
  • 100 gms - ghee
  • 4 tomato
  • 1 large brown onion
  • 25 mm - knob fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 25 gms - chilli powder
  • 25 gms - coriander powder
  • 2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 25 gms - garam masala
  • 25 gms - salt

How to Make Chicken Jalfrazi

  • Skin and de-bone the chicken and cut the meat into bite-size pieces.
  • Chop the tomatoes, onion, ginger and garlic.
  • Heat the ghee in a large pan and saute the chicken for about 10 mins.
  • Add the onion, ginger, garlic and spice powders and cook for 15-20 mins, stirring frequently.
  • Add the tomato and cook for a further 3-4 mins.
  • Finally add salt and garam masala.
  • Stir to blend thoroughly and transfer to a serving dish.
