Ingredients

  • Chicken - 1 kg, chopped into small pieces
  • Onion - 1.5 large, chopped into thin strips
  • Green peppers - 6 to 8
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1.5 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder - a pinch
  • Clove - 5
  • Cardamom - 4
  • Cinnamon - 1 piece
  • Bay Leaf - 1 leaf
  • Red chilli powder - 1 tsp according to taste
  • Coconut powder - 5 tbsp
  • Yogurt - 5 tbsp
  • Oil - 4 to 6 tbsp
  • Salt - to taste

How to Make Chicken Kurma with yoghurt

  • Make a paste of coconut and green pepper and keep a side. Heat oil in a pan add cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaves and fry them till brown.
  • Then add the onions and fry them till brown, add salt and turmeric powder.
  • Fry them till golden brown.
  • Add chicken and fry them for 5 minutes.
  • Let the chicken cook for few minutes.
  • After the chicken is cooked add the coconut paste, yogurt and red chilli powder and let them cook for 15 mins
  • Garnish with coriander
