Ingredients

  • Chicken - 1 kg
  • Sliced big onions - 1 cup
  • Split green chillies - 4
  • Sliced tomatoes - 3
  • Oil - 1/2 cup
  • Grind together:
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp -
  • Cinnamon - 1 inch piece
  • Clove - 4
  • Garlic - 1 pod
  • Ginger - 2 inch pieces
  • Dry chillies - 10
  • Pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • Aniseeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Curry leaves - 2 sprig

How to Make Chicken Masala Curry

  • Heat oil in a pan. Saute onions, tomatoes and green chillies separately and keep aside.
  • Saute the ground masala in the remaining oil.
  • When it is done, add chicken pieces and salt.
  • Add sufficient water to cook the chicken and close the pan.
  • When it is done, add the sauteed onions, tomatoes, green chillies and curry leaves.
  • Remove from fire.
  • Serve with rice.
