Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - boneless chicken
  • For the marinade:
  • 2 tsp - lime juice
  • 1/4 cup - curd
  • 1 tbsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp - ginger - garlic paste
  • 3 tbsp - papaya paste
  • 2 tsp - vinegar
  • 1 tsp - kasuri methi powder
  • 1/4 tsp - garam masala
  • 2 tbsp - salad oil
  • A pinch - red food color powder
  • salt to taste
  • For the batter:
  • 1 - egg
  • 150 g - maida
  • 200g - channa flour
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • 1/2 cup - coriander leaves

How to Make Chicken Pakoras for A Rainy Day

  • Mix the ingredients for marinade and marinate the chicken pieces for 2 hours.
  • After 2 hours, remove the chicken from the marinade and keep aside.
  • Mix the ingredients for the batter along with the marinade, salt and water to a fine paste.
  • Dip the chicken in the batter and deep fry till done.
  • Serve with mint chutney.
