  • 1 - whole chicken
  • 4 - whole garlic cloves
  • 10 cups - water
  • 1 cup - rice
  • 1 tbsp - salt
  • 1 tbsp - pepper

How to Make Chicken Porridge (Dak Jook)

  • Wash rice and soak in water for more than 2 hours. Drain well.
  • Clean the chicken and cut excessive fat.
  • In a big pot, place the chicken and whole cloves of garlic. Let it simmer for 2 hours.
  • Take out the chicken and shred the flesh.
  • Meanwhile, put rice in a pot with the chicken stock and boil until done.
  • Stir occasionally.
  • Add shredded chicken and add salt and pepper.
  • Serve hot.
