  • 4 cups - milk
  • 4 tsp - finely sliced china grass
  • 5 tbsp - sugar
  • 4 tbsp - cream
  • A few drops - essence of your choice
  • 4 tbsp - finely sliced mixed nuts
  • A few - whole candied cherries
  • A few drops each - various food colours

How to Make China Grass Pudding with Nuts

  • Dissolve china grass in 1/2 cup water over a slow fire.
  • Also dissolve sugar in milk over a slow fire.
  • Add china grass to the milk, bring to a boil and remove from fire.
  • Cool, mix in nuts, essence and cream.
  • Put the mixture in individual glass ice cream cups.
  • In each cup add a few drops of different food colours.
  • Set in a cool place or in the fridge to set.
  • Decorate each cup with a whole cherry and serve chilled.
