Ingredients

  • 1 cup - peel of Chinese okra
  • 5-6 - green chillies
  • 3 tsp - urad dal
  • 1/2 tsp - jeera
  • 1 - tamarind (lollipop size, soaked in water)
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp - chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp - coriander leaves (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric (optional)

How to Make Chinese Okra Peel Chutney

  • Wash the peel of Chinese okra, dry them on a tissue and fry in 2 tbsp of oil.
  • Add the green chillies, urad dal and jeera. Fry for 3-4 minutes and grind with the soaked tamarind.
  • Heat 2 tsp of oil in a kadhai and add the minced garlic and coriander leaves to it. Add turmeric.
  • Pour over the ground chutney.
  • Serve with rice.
