  • 1 cup - Self-rising flour
  • 2 tbsp - Cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup - Castor sugar
  • 1 tsp - Baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp - Baking soda
  • 2 tbsp - Cooking oil
  • 1/8th tsp - Salt
  • Milk, as required
  • 20-22 Chocolate Chips

How to Make Chocolate Thumb Cookies

  • Sieve self-rising flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda in a bowl and mix them all together.
  • Add rest of the ingredients and mix well.
  • Keep adding 1 tbsp of milk at a time and knead a soft dough.
  • Divide it into 20 equal portions and make round balls out of it.
  • Flatten them a little to make a cookie shape.
  • Make a thumbprint (not too deep) on each cookie and put a chocolate chip on each one of them.
  • Arrange them on a lined baking tray and bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes on 180 degrees C.
