Ingredients

  • 100 g - Plain Flour
  • 50 g - Porridge oats
  • 50 g - Butter ( softened)
  • 50 g - Crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 -Egg
  • 100 g - Cherries
  • 150 g - Brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp - Baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 tsp - Vanilla extract.

How to Make Chunky Cherry Cookies

  • Preheat the oven to 190 degree Celsius.
  • Grease and line two baking sheets with baking paper.
  • Combine the butter and sugar in a large bowl and mix well.
  • Now add the egg and vanilla extract and mix well.
  • Now add the sifted flour, porridge oats, baking powder and bicarbonate of soda and mix it.
  • Finally add the deseeded cherries. Fold it into the mixture.
  • Place a levelled tspful of the mixture in the baking sheet.
  • Bake it in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
  • Cool slightly, then place it on the wire rack to cool.
  • Serve with tea.
