  • 1 cup - split dhalia dal (putnalu)
  • 3/4 cup - dry shredded coconut
  • red chilli powder to taste
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin seeds (jeera)
  • 2 cloves - garlic
  • salt to taste

How to Make Coconut masala powder

  • Take the dhalia dal in a mixer and grind into a fine powder without adding any water.
  • Add dry coconut, chilli powder and salt and grind for about 30 seconds.
  • Add cumin seeds and garlic and grind for 10 seconds.
  • Store it in a dry airtight container. Serve with dosa, idli or rice.
