Ingredients

  • rice - 1/2 kg
  • coconut milk - 2.5 ltr
  • green chillies - 2 to 5
  • onion diced - 6
  • pudina - 5 bunches
  • ginger,
  • garlic paste - 2 tbsp
  • dalchini - 1 " - 6
  • laung - 6
  • bay leaf - 3
  • elaichi - 3
  • ghee - 2 tbsp
  • oil - 6 tbsp

How to Make Coconut milk Pulao

  • Wash the rice and tie tightly in a cotton cloth to absorb water. Heat the ghee in a karahi and fry the rice till it becomes white. Set aside.
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add all the whole spices and bay leaves.
  • Add diced onion and saute till it turns transparent.
  • Add green chillies and saute till soft. Add the ginger, garlic paste and saute.
  • Add pudina and saute. Add coconut milk and bring to boil.
  • Add rice and salt.Cover and pressure cook for 7 minutes or for one whistle.
  • Let the steam settle down before you open.Coconutmilk Pullao is ready.
