Ingredients

  • 100 g - (1 cup) - grated coconut
  • 3/4 tsp - red chilli powder or 3 dried red chillies
  • 4 shallots / chuvannulli / small onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp - chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/2 tsp - thick tamarind paste
  • 1/2 tsp - salt (or to taste)
  • 1 tbsp - water

How to Make Coconut Onion Chutney

  • Make a smooth and thick paste of the ingredients in a mixer. Sprinkle 1 tbsp water when making chammanthi. Serve with Kanji or Dosa.
