Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - colocasia
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 2 sticks - cinnamon
  • 3 - medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - coriander power
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • 1 tsp - garam masala powder/all spice powder
  • 4 tbsp - oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp - chopped coriander leaves

How to Make Colocasia In Tomato Gravy

  • Heat oil in a pan and saute the cinnamon and onions for a few minutes
  • Add the tomatoes and fry on medium heat till soft.
  • Add the colocasia and mix well.
  • Add all the other ingredients and sufficient water and mix well.
  • Cook on low heat till the colocasia is cooked.
  • Garnish with some chopped coriander leaves.
  • Serve with rice or chapattis.
