  • 1 cup - mayonnaise (preferably light)
  • 1 cup - mashed bananas (very ripe)
  • 1 tbsp - nutmeg powder
  • 2 cups - all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp - baking soda
  • 1 cup - sugar

How to Make Continental Banana Bread

  • Pre heat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Mix mayonnaise and mashed bananas.
  • Sieve the dry ingredients and add to the wet mixture. Mix until smooth.
  • Do not beat with electric mixer.
  • Grease and dust the loaf pan.
  • Pour the mix into the pan and bake for 55 to 60 minutes.
  • Cool the bread on the wire rake for about 15 minutes and serve warm with butter.
