Ingredients

  • 1 cup - gram dal
  • 1 cup - cooked rice
  • 2 - onions finely chopped
  • 1 tsp - cumin seed
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • Oil for frying
  • For paste:
  • 5 - garlic pods
  • 5 - pieces of ginger
  • 5 - green chillies
  • 2 tsp - coriander

How to Make Cooked Rice Bajiya

  • Make a smooth paste of the cooked rice with ginger, garlic, chillies, cumin seeds and turmeric.
  • Mix the paste with gram flour, onion and coriander leaves. Shape into small balls.
  • Heat oil on a low flame and deep fry till the bajiyas are golden brown.
  • Serve hot with coriander or pudina chutney.
  • Garnish with sliced onions.
