Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - rice
  • 1/2 inch - ginger
  • 6 pods - garlic
  • 1 bunch - coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp - salt
  • 4 - green chilli
  • 2 - onion
  • 1/2 inch - cinnamon
  • 1 - bay leaf
  • 1 pod - cardamom
  • 1/4 tsp - saunf
  • 6 tsp - oil

How to Make Coriander pulao

  • Wash the rice and keep aside. Add two glasses of water to it and let it soak.
  • In a blender, grind ginger, garlic, green chilli and coriander leaves to a fine paste.
  • In a cooker, heat oil and add the cardamom, bay leaf, cinnamon and saunf and fry till they splutter.
  • Add chopped onion, fry till it becomes transparent.
  • Add the ground paste, fry till the oil separates.
  • Add the soaked rice and close the lid of the cooker.
  • After 2 whistles, switch off the stove and serve.
