  • 1 cup - milk
  • 1/4 cup - milk powder
  • 1/4 cup - cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup - light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup - toasted wheat bran
  • 1/4 cup - puffed Rice Krispies
  • 4 to 5 drops - vanilla essence
  • 2 tbsp - butter

How to Make Crunchy Chocolate Balls

  • Mix cocoa and milk powder together.
  • Add half a cup of milk and make a smooth paste. Keep aside.
  • Add butter and brown sugar to a nonstick pan.
  • Place over low heat, stirring occasionally until fully melted.
  • Add remaining milk and bring to a boil.
  • Add the prepared paste gradually, while stirring continuously.
  • Cook, while gently stirring, until it forms a soft lump.
  • The mixture should leave the sides of the pan easily.
  • Add in vanilla essence, Rice Krispies, and half of the wheat bran.
  • Remove from fire and mix well till it cools a little.
  • Roll into small balls between both palms.
  • Roll the balls in the remaining bran.
  • Refrigerate on a sheet of butter paper till well set.
  • Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
