Ingredients

  • 6 - lemons
  • 200 g - sugar
  • 1/4 tsp - methi seeds
  • 1/4 tsp - sesame seeds
  • 1/4 tsp - asafetida
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1.5 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp - cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tbsp - salt

How to Make Crushed Lemon Pickle

  • Quarter the lemons and de-seed.
  • Put sugar and lemon pieces in a small grinder and grind coarsely. Transfer into a wide-mouthed jar.
  • Add all the other ingredients to the jar. Mix well with a wooden ladle.
  • Tie mouth of the jar with a clean, dry muslin cloth.
  • Keep in hot sunlight for at least 4-5 days.
  • Close the lid tightly and store in cool, dry place.
