Ingredients

  • 250 g - fresh green gram
  • 1 - potato, chopped
  • 1 - onion
  • 3 flakes - garlic
  • 1 inch piece - ginger
  • 1 - tomato, pureed
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1 cup - coriander leaves
  • Oil for cooking.

How to Make Curried green gram-potato

  • Heat oil in a pan, saute the chopped onions. Then add the ginger garlic paste.
  • Mix well and add the tomato puree, all the spices, salt. Cook until the mixture starts bubbling.
  • Add the fresh green gram and potato. Add 1 cup of water, mix well and cook till the grams and potato become tender.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
