Ingredients

  • 1 cup - curry leaves
  • 1 tsp - tamarind paste
  • 5 - red chillies
  • 2 tsp - urad dal
  • 1/4 tsp - mustard seeds
  • A pinch - asafoetida
  • 1 tsp - salt
  • 1 tsp - oil
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 5 leaves - curry leaves

How to Make Curry Leaves Sambar

  • Fry urad dal, red chillies and asafoetida in oil
  • Wet grind the above mixture with curry leaves, tamarind paste, and salt
  • Boil with 2 cups of water
  • Heat some oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds and add curry leaves. Serve as a curry.
