Ingredients

  • 1 cup - rice
  • 1/2 cup - toor dal
  • 10 cloves - garlic
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp - cumin seeds
  • 3 - green chillies
  • 1.5 tbsp - ghee
  • Curry leaves - a few
  • 2 tbsp - coriander leaves
  • Salt as per taste

How to Make Dal bhat

  • Take a pressure pan, add washed rice and dal, crushed garlic, cumin seeds, slit green chillies, turmeric powder, salt, enough water and cook for 3 whistles.
  • Then simmer the flame. Now add ghee and curry leaves, coriander leaves and mix well.
  • Serve.
