Ingredients

  • 1 cup - toor dal, soaked
  • 1 cup - spinach leaves
  • 1 - tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 - onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp - ginger- garlic paste
  • 1 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 2 tbsp - lime juice
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin
  • A pinch - asafoetida
  • 2 - green chillies finely chopped
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Dal palak

  • Cook toor dal in a vessel.
  • When it is 3/4 cooked, add spinach leaves, onion, tomato, salt, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste and asafoetida to it.
  • Cook till done
  • In a frying pan, heat the oil and add all the ingredients for seasoning (except lime juice) and pour it over the cooked dal.
  • Now add lime juice in it and mix well.
  • Serve
