Ingredients

  • 1 bunch - spinach, chopped
  • 1/2 cup - toor dal
  • 1/2 cup - moong dal
  • 1 tsp - ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp - cumin seeds
  • 1 - onion
  • 1 - tomato

How to Make Dal Palak with Ginger Garlic

  • Heat oil in a pressure pan and splutter the mustard and cumin seeds.
  • Now add the onions and saute until pink.
  • Add the ginger-garlic paste.
  • Add the tomatoes and cook until they soften, then add the coriander and chilli powder.
  • Now add the lentils and cook till they soften.
  • Add the chopped spinach and pressure cook for 1 whistle.
  • Add water and simmer for 1 minute.
  • Garnish with cilantro.
  • Serve hot with rice.
